Homemade Granola Bars

A friend of mine shared this recipe, so I gave it a shot and I am smitten! I will be making these regularly  and a lot of the ingredients are things that most people already have in their cupboards.


You'll need:

8 cups oatmeal
1.5 cups brown sugar
8 oz coconut (I didn't use coconut in mine)
8 oz almonds
3 oz sunflower seeds
2 tsp cinnamon
and I added a half cup of flax seeds

Wet ingredients:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter
1 tsp vanilla

preheat oven to 225

Heat wet ingredients in a saucepan until it boils. Pour over dry mixture in a big bowl, mix well,
spread evenly on a cookie sheet

bake for 2 hours.
